Welcome to The Traveloguer
A travel blog of a girl with itchy feet and a lust for wander!
Here you will find tips for travelling on a backpacker budget, tales and photographs of my adventures, and plenty of travel disaster stories!
My name is Christine and I’m a wanderer.
My love for travel was instilled in me by my parents at a very young age. I used to get so excited before our summer holidays every year, and would always try to document it all in my diary. Of course, I often ended up forgetting to continue my little travelogues mid-way through the trip, but I have never been able to shake the habit of needing to keep track of my adventures!
Travel has always been a big part of my life. In college, I spent summers in Ibiza, Thailand, the US and inter-railing around Europe. As soon as I graduated, I packed my backpack and set off on an adventure that lasted for years and took me all round Asia, and to New Zealand and Australia.
The Traveloguer is a celebration of the joy of travel, and how even the disastrous moments are all part of the wonderful adventure!
It is a place to share all of the travel stories that are in my head, and somewhere to share any advice that I’ve learned from my time on the road. Most importantly, I want The Traveloguer to inspire someone to take that trip, because travelling is simply the best thing that you can do!
Nothing beats the feeling of wandering down an unfamiliar street, surrounded by new smells and faces, camera in hand and a wide smile glued to your face. Travel gives you the gift of memories that will last a lifetime and stories others may not even believe!
I hope you enjoy your time on The Traveloguer, and please get in touch if you have any travel questions!
